Danelectro has fitted the '56 Single-Cutaway series of guitars and basses with a hollow body and solid center core, making it light and resonant. All models feature Dano's souped up lipstick pickups, ostrich side tape, and great finishes. The 2 Danelectro lipstick pickups offer a suprising variety and quality of tone via concentric volume and tone controls for each pickup. The Danelectro Single Cutaway 56 Electric Guitars are equipped with 21 Frets on a rosewood fretboard. Other features include "Kluson" style tuners, clear plastic pickguard, fixed bridge, and a classic rosewood saddle.

I had stop practicing for years, doesnt even had a guitar anymore, so in a trip to miami I went to guitar center just to check on guitars Not to buy any. When I saw this brand I remembered the old jimmy page's Danelectro so I tried trough a cheap fender amp in clean. The tone was great! super bluesy, jazzy, funk.. you could even get a great rock n roll tone when adding overdrive. The price was a kudos as well so I bought it and I was the new beginning for me. This guitars are amazing just like the old ones.
