5.0 out of 5 stars Beginner Dive Knife, June 29, 2011
I really like these knives - I bought two. As a student diver, I wanted a knife that was dependable, effective, and cheap as I assembled my gear. I got each for $10.83 with $7.99 of shipping. That was cheaper than ScubaToys, Leisure Pro, and my LDS.

It works really well, as in sharp blade, durable construction.. I like the blunt tip blade, and the metal end for tank banging is a bonus. This isn't a sword, but the length is on the smaller side, which fits my gear perfectly.

I would highly recommend this knife for beginnings. Tech and more advanced divers, I would go for titanium or better quality materials. But for those just starting to accumulate gear, this is perfect for you!

This knife was just what my husband wanted. We had it on our wedding registry but no one purchased it, so I bought it for him for christmas. It was exactly as described.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hmmm... mixed review, but it meets my needs fine, September 13, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This isn't a $50 knife. I got it for < $20 total, shipped to my house in 4 days. Not a bad price for what I received.

The sheath is hard plastic and may very well break at some point especially in cold weather or as it gets old. It seems to hold the knife reasonably well, but I'm not trusting it and made a lanyard of thin shock cord that stretches from the handle down over the tip end. The length is such that I can draw the knife (after unlocking the keeper), and then stretch it out of the sheath, and the loop then comes free. Basically, it just ensures retention if I bump the catch while I'm near water.

The knife itself... not a horrible design, fits my hand ok for what it is (small, a good thing), very sharp (the main blade, serrated blade, and line cutter). Frankly I'm quite satisfied with the knife itself.

My usage is, however, NOT for diving. I've got it attached on my PFD for kayaking and canoeing (fresh water only).
