1.0 out of 5 stars The POOR REVIEWS are REAL!, August 12, 2011

I saw the reviews but figured only unhappy people write reviews, most of the happy owners don't bother. I was wrong, much of what I read about this camera came to be true. I purchased the Sealife Mini II camera and it did ship quickly (thank you House of Scuba). However, everything went south from there. This is suppose to be a 9MP camera. If that is the case, it must have the bottom of a coke bottle for a lens. Image quality was on par with your average phone camera. NO BETTER. Yes, I too had the same problem with the battery meter going screwy and yes, mine too died while on my vacation. The camera is less than a month old and simply stopped working. Was camera - now brick. Not sure what the issue is with Sealife, the product had so much to offer and filled a perfect niche but it fails to meet even the lowest of marks. Note to Sealife Mgt - If you want to stay in business - you are going to have to do better.

The Sealife brick, errrr, I mean camera has been returned... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Catastrophic leak on 2nd dive, June 20, 2011

The camera is guaranteed to depths of up to 130'.
I purchased my first dive camera, a Mini 2, for a dive trip to Roatan.
The camera seal failed on the 2nd dive, max depth = 60'.
I thought that the batteries needed replacing, but when I opened the door, water dripped out. Batteries still had plenty of charge. Camera was dead.
I'm told that SeaLife will cover the camera, but I really don't need a dive camera now that the trip is past.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality and craftsmanship, October 4, 2011

Bought this camera for my first ever dive trip to Cozumel and ended up being very disappointed.

Halfway through my first dive, I noticed that the rubber button for the flash was missing; it had came off somewhere in the water and was lost. But that was the least of my problems.

Over the course of 7 days and a total of 14 dives to depths ranging from 20 to 119 ft, the camera's performance was subpar to say the least. On three separate occasions, right in the middle of a dive, the camera suddenly displayed a "card error" message and quit working. I wish I could comment on battery life but it was all over the charts. One minute it would show a full battery charge (with brand new batteries installed), the next it would show the low battery icon, then turn itself off. I'd turn it back on and it would be back to showing a full battery. The video and picture quality were average at best. One of the people in our group was using a Canon Powershot SD1300 IS in a...
