5.0 out of 5 stars kid's suit up, January 25, 2008

I really love this wetsuit for kids. My son has been reluctant to swim at the YMCA pool because the water is set at 82 degrees and he is shivering in about 10 minutes. We have tried the one piece nylon rash guard type swimsuit but it didn't do enough. The first time we tried this wetsuit, he was in for over 45 minutes. Now that he is a fish, I really enjoy the finer features of the suit. It is very rugged. I like the feel of the material. It is closefitting without being constricting. It has a long pull cord for the zipper in the back so the person can put it on by themselves. It also has a slot in the pull tab to put a velcro tab to hold the zipper in the up position. I wondered if this long cord would get in the way and it has not been a factor. It is definitely a plus. I was so pleased that I am keeping the next size up (I ordered 2 sizes so that I could see which one fit) for him to grow into. I also like the fact that it dries very quickly. You can use it daily and never have to... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars it's great!, April 14, 2008

I bought 2 sizes for my son who is five. The suit has been keeping him warm for his swim lessons in an enclosed local pool. His teeth are no longer chattering. We're keeping the second suit for his future growth.

I don't like to spend big bucks, but I don't regret this purchase. My 8-year-old son uses the wetsuit for swim practice. It works much better than the $50 one he just outgrew. He was concerned that he wouldn't be able to zip it up himself, but he can easily. The suit is warm, but not restrictive. Also, my son is slim; he has little to no body fat, and this suit still manages to fit him nicely, even around the legs and arms. He says it "works really good".
